About FSC — Everything Behind the Burn

Three short reads on what makes a Flame Society candle different: the wax, the fragrance, and how to care for it.

Most candle makers pick one wax and pour everything in it. We don't — each scent in our library is matched to the wax that gives it the optimal scent throw: creamy coconut-soy for bright, fresh profiles, and silky apricot creme for rich, warm ones. No paraffin, no palm, no dyes.

Our fragrance oils are clean, skin-safe grade, and loaded to the maximum each wax can carry — never any phthalates, parabens, or synthetic enhancers.

And every candle deserves a proper burn: trim the wooden wick to ⅛", let the first burn reach a full edge-to-edge melt pool, keep burns under 4 hours, and when ¼" of wax remains, wash the vessel and keep it forever.
